Opening Reception for Chip Clawson's Solo Exhibition

Chip works on a variety of scales from large concrete and ceramic to medium and smaller scale sculptures, using digitally controlled machines. All of his sculptures are inspired by the natural world and often there is architecture in the mix. He is currently focused on more complicated 3D printed sculptures and installations. The goal of this work is to engage the viewer and encourage the viewer's imagination. The work focuses on bright joyful installations with the intent of uplifting the viewer.

Welcome Chip’s reimagining of his work into a more intimate space with the artist all of us at The Front gallery on Friday, May 3rd at 6pm.

Artist’s Critique - for everyone - by Carla Potter

Do you need a fresh perspective on your work? Are you interested in learning about how a critique session is supposed to be conducted?

Professional Artist Carla Potter has hundreds of critiques behind her, and is willing to let us hear her inside thoughts, wisdom, vulnerability and humor in a lively salon style session of candor-critique —- of your favorite local artists’ work.

April 8, from 3-5pm, $10+ suggested donation when we ‘pass the hat’

Bring your curiosity, a friend, and even a comment or two to us! This event is suitable for casual observers unacquainted with local artists’ work, and especially great for artists at any stage of development in their career to participate or observe (see details below for more opportunities).
